- In the middle of 60’s decade, Eng. Jesús M.
Sosa envisioned a company that would satisfy the
need for first quality architectural products in
Puerto Rico made from aluminum and glass. Within
a short amount of time, the name of his company,
Sosa Architectural Metal Corporation (Samcor),
became associated with attributes of innovation
and excellence. In 1981 he patented an invention
that revolutionized the window industry in
Puerto Rico and the United States, when he
designed the first safety window with an alarm
and integrated iron grate. This created the
birth of Vent-Alarm Corporation (Valcor), and
when it merged with the original company it
became what we now know as
VALCOR SAMCOR.
The spirit of innovation has guided the company
for more than 40 years. The vision of Eng. Sosa
has integrated with the talent of a new
generation of professionals composed by his
children Fernando, Beatriz and Inés, together
with his nephew Jorge, creating a family company
in which its customers can trust.
Today, with its new facilities in Gurabo, the
most modern in all of the Caribbean,
VALCOR SAMCOR
manufactures a wide variety of high quality
products, from security windows and doors to
railings and curtain walls among many others.
With close to 300 employees, our company does
not hesitate in using the best materials and the
strictest standards of excellence in all of its
processes. In this way, the guarantee in
satisfaction and quality that we offer at
VALCOR SAMCOR
is, and will continue to be, number one in the
industry.
